Hello from Ecuador!
Mar 09, 2010Kit Frank, an occupational therapist volunteering in Ecuador with her husband, contacted us a few weeks ago looking for the best way to get their hands on Triwall® corrugated cardboard. We let them know that in a place like Ibarra, Ecuador, it may be better to make it than buy it.
After getting some tips on how to construct Triwall® from us via e-mail, Kit went to work. She sent me pictures of the equipment she made for a 5-year-old boy with CP, and the equipment looks great. She used materials that were easily accessible in her community and wound up spending less than $5. Check out what she built!
Kit will be visiting us in the late spring to take our cardboard carpentry 2-day course, but from the looks of her pictures she may be ready for the advanced class. You can find out more about our courses in the Educational Programming section of our website.
