This year's goal of $120,000 will help us:

  • Develop our first NYC school-based workshop, located at PS 186 in the Bronx so staff can learn to assess the needs of their students, and the adaptive equipment can be constructed on site.
  • Sustain our Work Readiness Internships so women transitioning into the workplace can have a safe and meaningful experience while gaining skills.
  • Increase our "Never Say No" Fund to insure that NYC children get the equipment they need to thrive in everyday life.

Last year we:

  • Made 2760 assistive devices for 431 children.
  • Instructed 51 professionals in 400 hours of cardboard carpentry and adaptive design.
  • Provided presentations and workshops to 598 clinicians, university students, and parents.
  • Provided 16 paid Work Readiness Internships.
  • Provided sensitivity training and hands-on learning for 177 children and young adults.
