Meet Hannah
We met Hannah, a child with cerebral palsy, when she was nine months old. She needed a feeding chair with a seat-to-back angle of 105º to facilitate swallowing and minimize reflux. The feeding chair had a removable base that allowed her to be at eye-level with her parents during meals. When the base was removed, the chair became more portable, so Hannah could sit upright in a variety of settings. Since February 2003, Adaptive Design has worked with Hannah’s parents and many therapists to create 26 other pieces of equipment. Meeting needs—as soon as they arise--helps maximize learning potential at every developmental stage.
