Tangible Symbol Cues
Tangible Symbol Cues (TSC) are a tactile and highly visual communication system for children with early language skills. Each cue (4"X6"X5/8") represents an activity, place, thing, person, or concept. Cues are particularly useful for children with low-vision, blindness, and/or emerging speech and language. Vocabulary (new cues) should be added as the child’s concepts develop and contexts change.
TSC promote:
- Choice-making and recall
- Anticipation and cooperation
- Expressive and receptive communication
Holders and displays are available to organize cues, display schedules, and provide choices within specific activities. Click here to view.
